Reseach concern

Research Concern:

The purpose of this study is to examine how participants involved in blended courses form a social presence, create a cognitive presence, and contribute to a teaching presence within the online environment, and what relationship, if any, there may be between these three components of an online learning community and the perceived quality of the educational experience.

Research Questions:

1. In what ways and to what extent is deep learning experienced by students in a blended learning environment?

2. In what ways and to what extent does online cognitive presence contribute to deep learning experiences for students in a blended learning environment?

3. In what ways and to what extent does online social presence contribute to student learning experiences in a blended learning environment?

4. In what ways and to what extent does online teaching presence contribute to student learning experiences in a blended learning environment?

5. In what ways and to what extent is online cognitive, social and teaching presence supported by face-to-face learning in a blended learning environment?

Q: Would it be better phrased: In what way and to what extent is online presence supported in offline activities
Problem with Q5 is that it may be too large an area to cover
